Listen to my Movie Soundtrack Playlist! Sunday Song Share

Welcome to Week Two of Sunday Song Share. Catch up on last week’s list – Girl Power! I have added the songs to a Youtube Playlist as well!

Sunday Song Share – Movie Soundtracks

This week we are heading to the Movies! I was inspired after reading Miranda Hart’s Daily Dose of Such Fun! and one was to play ‘Good Morning’ from Singin’ in the Rain, tap dancing is optional. I did it the other morning in the staff room to varying levels of success. This week’s playlist therefore is focused on Happy Movie Songs.

Movie Soundtrack

Good Morning – Singing in the Rain

This song is perfect at making people happy. I have been singing it all day! It’s a toe tapping, dance like you don’t care song!

Misirlou – Pulp Fiction

Say what you want about Tarantino’s films –  the music in them is always amazing!

Streets of Philadelphia – Philadelphia

I find this song inspiring. I often listen to it on the bus and daze into the distance. It’s a contemplating life kind of song.

I Can see Clearly Now – Cool Runnings

Cool Runnings is such a feel good film. I only saw it for the first time last year and loved it!

Be My Baby – Dirty Dancing

I just have to hear the first drumbeat and I am in love with Johnny Castle all over again. I recently was listening to Noel Gallagher’s Desert Island Disc. He had this as his first dance, that would have been cool.

Honey Honey – Mamma Mia

I’ve seen the stage show twice and the movie too many times. It is so happy and silly its brilliant.

Welcome to the 60’s – Hairspray

Again the stage show is also amazing! It was hard to pick a song from this movie too!

You’re the One That I Want and Greased Lightning- Grease

Okay this is the best musical ever so we need two! I probably could have put all the songs in here.

Eye of the Tiger – Rocky

When you need a wee pick me up in the middle of the day.

Blue Shade Shoes – Blue Suede Shoes

If you haven’t watched Elvis’ films put it on your to-do list!

Son of a Preacher Man – Pulp Fiction

Okay Another Pulp Fiction song. That is another film full of great songs!

Let’s Stay Together – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Getting away with a third Pulp Fiction song as it was actually in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days too!

Bang Bang – Kill Bill

Such a good song! And Film!

Wouldn’t it be Nice – 50 First Dates

I love this song. It was nearly our first dance at our wedding. I think it is on our wedding DVD at one point.

All Day and All Night – The Boat That Rocked

I couldn’t help but be disappointed in this movie. The soundtrack however is wonderful.

Footloose – Footloose

This is a toe tapping line dancing film. This is one of the few films that the remake is actually just as good as the original. I also love Let’s Hear It for the Boy.

Simon and Garfunkel – Mrs Robinson

If you have not seen The Graduate – I want you to stop doing what you are doing, stop reading this post and go put it on.

Lust for Life -Trainspotting

Every time I hear this song I am immediately reminded of Ewan McGregor.

Independant Women – Charlie’s Angels

If you’ve never taken a picture with two of your pals pretending to be Charlie’s Angels… then what have you been up to?

Fame – Fame

Yes! Fetch me some tap shoes and leg warmers!

Star Wars Theme – Star Wars

Again if you are having a rubbish morning and need motivation. This is the song for you.

This is just a taster of some of the songs; I’ve also added Disney songs, Moulin Rouge and La La Land.

I will add more and more songs to the playlist as they come to me so keep checking back, commenting some suggestions  and giving feedback.
